Play It Again Sports buys your used sports equipment. The program lets you trade your old sporting goods for new or used gear or you can take the cold, hard cash for your trade-ins.

The program's not limited to kids' equipment either. If Dad's ready to admit he spends more time in the sand trap than on the green, he can get rid of his golf clubs. If Mom's not feeling the love for the treadmill anymore, she can walk with the cash instead.

You may want to call the store before loading up your car with all of your unwanted sporting goods. At different times of the year, they have more of a need for certain types of sports equipment over another. If you're willing to hold out for a few months, you could make even more money on some of your old gear as that sport's season approaches.
