Home Depot Kids Workshops Overview:

Kids get hands-on building experience at Home Depot Kid Workshops. Children create projects out of wood and receive an orange apron and achievement pin for their hard work.

Home Depot Kids Workshops are free. All materials and tools are also provided.

Age Recommendations:

Every workshop is designed for children between 5 and 12 years old. Younger children can build the projects with their parents' help.

Home Depot Kids Workshop Helpers:

Store employees show kids how to complete the project. Parents can also assist their children.

Types of Projects:

Projects vary from month to month, but previous workshops have focused on building:
  • Bug houses
  • Fire station banks
  • Helicopters
  • Mail organizers
  • Picket fence planters
  • Picnic caddies
  • Soccer games
  • Squirrel feeders

Dates and Times:

The Home Depot Kids Workshops are held on the first Saturday of each month. Hours are between 9 a.m. and noon.

Participating in a Free Clinic:

To take part in a Home Depot Kids Workshop, simply show up within the three-hour window on the first Saturday of the month. No advance registration is required.
