Kids are fascinated by something new all the time. Try a sandwich of mayonnaise with lettuce and cheese, not bread every day - one day I cut her two favourite fruits to have with danon. Or how about provita snack with melrose cheese spread? Try to be creative an innovative each day - remember let it be in a healthy way.

Keep Kids' Lunches Simple

My twins just started kindergarten and I've only been packing lunch for 2 weeks but I've found, so far, simple works best. They are happiest when I send lunches that are more snacky in nature and can be eaten with their fingers; cheese cubes, pineapple chunks, apples, pretzels, turkey wraps etc. rather than reheated soup or dinner leftovers. Of course that will probably change the older (and bigger) they get. I'm always looking for more lunch ideas though just to shake things up!

Chicken Salad Roll Ups

I cover half of a tortilla with chicken salad from my grocer's deli. Roll up the tortilla slowly and then cut it into bite-size pieces. Not a single crumb comes home!
